Community transport scheme

Bishampton and Throckmorton PC are currently exploring an opportunity for a Community Bus service in conjunction with Pershore volunteer centre.   We think that we have options on support funding for a 6 month trial if we can demonstrate enough interest and potential demand for such a service.

They are looking at one  (possibly two) days a week and the service would have a pre-booking element.  The idea would be to operate from the villages to Pershore, with a few hours in Pershore and then a return.  Passengers could expect to pay a small fare to assist with costs.

They thought that Hill and Moor and Wyre Piddle communities might also would be logical inclusions as they lie proximate to the route.

They are trying to get evidence of potential demand by running an online survey – and with neighbouring parishes in mind, have included a “starting location” box on the survey form with Hill and Moor and Wyre Piddle as options.

If you think that such a service may benefit our community,  please share with  your neighbours and ask them to fill in the form below if they would be interested.
